My Beliefs

I am a 2* Georgian trad witch, although all my beliefs do not stem around the Georgian tradition.  I believe that when we die, we go to the Summerlands.  But I don't believe we stay there forever.  I believe that we are there for a certain time, possibly to understand why and how we died, and then we are sent back with a new life and new beliefs.  But in our new life, as we were once Pagan in the past, we shall be Pagan again.  We are drawn to it.  I believe that there is not just a God but a Goddess, because it takes two to create.  I believe that all of the different gods and goddesses are messengers for the God and Goddess themselves.  Ritual is done with a specific god/dess in mind pertaining to a certain circumstance in which they take our offering and make their own offering to the higher authorities, the God and Goddess.  Much like the Catholic religion, they pray to the saints, who in turn ask for God's wisdom.  They are the messengers.

I believe that all religions, no matter what it is, believes in a higher power.  It is called Goddess, God, Allah, Krsna, Satan, Buddha....and they are all one.  We all meet at a center point and believe in a higher power, we just call it by a different name and practice differently.

I believe that everyone and all religions have a positive and negative side.  There is good and bad in everything.  One cannot be without the other.  Good cannot exist without bad and vice versa.

Every person has faults as do all religions.

A religion can be a cult if people are not allowed to think freely, but some religions require certain things (no make-up, dresses only, no cutting of the hair, etc.) and that does not make them a cult, but rather a group of people with a very strong faith in what they believe in.

For every 5 people that cannot think freely, there are 10 that do.  That is a 2:1 ratio to help a person free their mind.

I believe that a person who comes to me for help regardless of their religion, will receive my full attention and help.

I am not afraid to ask the Christian God for help if a Christian friend is sick and in need.  It is the most respectful thing to do to ask their god for help when they cannot.

I believe religion and war go hand in hand.  Conflicts of faith cause tension between people.  But little do they know, if their minds were free, there wouldn't be war.
